It is my great pleasure, as Chair of the Scientific Committee of the LMHI 2018 Congress, to invite all researchers and clinicians in homoeopathy from across the globe to submit abstracts for presentation of their work at the first-ever LMHI Congress to be held on the African continent.
The Congress theme, ‘Contributing to Sustainable Healthcare’, is derived from Goal 3 of the UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) and is of enormous importance to the prosperity of all nations, the mitigation of the impact of poverty and war on the well-being of individuals, and the promotion of efficient healthcare for all in the face of a host of communicable and non-communicable disease threats.
The Organising Committee believes that, as a system of medicine, homoeopathy has an important role to play in our conceptualisation and promotion of sustainable healthcare, and I urge you, as clinicians and researchers, to share your scientific insights and experiences in respect to the promotion of homoeopathy within the pursuit of the SDGs. Let us utilise the opportunity of the LMHI Congress 2018, at the southernmost tip of the African continent, to bring together the various threads of scientific excellence within homoeopathy, to share our experiences and to harness the strengths of our gentle yet potent medical system for the betterment of all of humanity.
