CAPE PRE-CONFERENCE TOUR OPTIONS (HALF DAY OPTIONS ONLY)
Time: 13:15 – 17:30
This afternoon tour takes you to the Stellenbosch wine area. The backdrop of the Hottentots Holland mountains, the white gabled Cape Dutch homesteads and the oak lined streets and lanes all blend in to give Stellenbosch a charm that will not be easily forgotten. The most memorable features are: Wine tasting & Cellar Tour in the Stellenbosch area, Stellenbosch town tour, and an opportunity to purchase wine.
Create your own memories when you visit the following places during your half-day morning tour. Clifton beach & Camps Bay, Hout Bay, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape Point, The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and a penguin colony.
This morning tour of the Mother City offers you the chance to photograph her very best sights. We start our afternoon with a visit to Table Mountain for its spectacular views – weather permitting (otherwise Signal Hill). The city tour will take you past the Houses of Parliament, City Hall, the Castle, and slave lodge. Travel to “Bo-Kaap” (Traditional Malay Quarter), Green Market Square and District Six. Green Market Square, in the city centre, is one of the most popular markets. The cobbled stone square has a wide variety of African curios, clothing, candles, and speciality stands.
If the Table Mountain cable car (funicular) is not running due to bad weather, the tour company will drive you up to the spectacular Signal Hill view site overlooking Cape Town as an alternative. If you have already paid in advance for the cable car ride, the tour guide will refund you accordingly.
